He started his career during his studies at the American University in Cairo (AUC) to build Paymob, which has grown to process millions of transactions and billions of dollars each year. He is also a member on the Board of Trustees for the Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC) and is passionate about building innovative large-scale technologies to empower the masses to access financial services. تعريف طلب استرداد المبلغ:
ربما لم تسمع بها من قبل، ولكن بصفتك تاجرًا يقبل المدفوعات، فأنت بحاجة إلى فهم عمليات استرداد المبالغ المدفوعة. يتم رد المبالغ المدفوعة عندما يتصل العميل الذي قام بالدفع من الانترنت عن طريق البطاقة البنك الخاص به للمطالبة بأموالهم.
عندما حدوث هذا، يتوجب عليك أن تقدم دليل على أن لديك الحق في الاحتفاظ بالمال الخاص بعملية الشراء، وإلا فإن المال يتم اقتطاعه من التاجر أو البائع تلقائيًا وإعادته إلى العميل. تم تصميم عمليات رد المبالغ المدفوعة لحماية العملاء ومنحهم الثقة للشراء من التجار، مع العلم أنه في حالة حدوث خطأ ما، فلدى العملاء الحق لاسترداد أموالهم.
لكن التاجر دائمًا لديه الفرصة لتقديم معلومات للدفاع عن نفسه وللحفاظ على حقه وأمواله. لقد تم تصميم العملية للتأكد من سلامة عمليات الشراء والحفاظ على ثقة كلا من العملاء والتجار على حد سواء في الدفع من الانترنت عن طريق البطاقات.

خطوات عملية استرداد المبالغ المدفوعة:

الخطوة الأولى - التوثيق المبدئي:

يتم التواصل عن طريق البريد إلكتروني مع التاجر بكافة تفاصيل طلب استرداد المبلغ المدفوع. كما يتم أيضًا اخطارالتاجرعن طريق الهاتف بالرقم المسجل لدينا لضمان علم التاجر بهذا الطلب من طرف Paymob لجمع كل المعلومات المطلوبة من التاجر التي تثبت احقيته بالمبالغ المطالب باستردادها (عادة يتم إرسال الأوراق والمستندات المطلوبة في خلال 3 لـ 5 أيام).
بعد مرحلة مراجعة الأوراق والمستندات المقدمة من قبل التاجر، إما أن يتم موافقة العميل على التوضيح أو يتم تنفيذ والمواصلة في عملية وطلب رد المبالغ المدفوعة.

الخطوة الثانية - ما قبل التحكيم:
</li>
</ul>
في هذه المرحلة، إما أن يقوم البائع أو التاجر بإعادة المبلغ للعميل ويتم خصم قيمة المبلغ الخاص بالعملية منه، أو أن يقوم بالطعن في التحكيم عن طريق تقديم معلومات أكثر دلالة وقوة لدعم هذه العملية واحقيته في المبالغ.

الخطوة الثالثة - التحكيم:

</ul>
في هذه المرحلة، يقوم البنك بالتحقق من الوثائق المُقدمة، ويقرر من له الحق في عملية استرداد الأموال.
يتم إيداع مبلغ رسوم تحكيم تتراوح ما بين 750 دولار إلى 1000 دولار، هذا بالإضافة إلى مبلغ المعاملة الأصلى.
فإذا رغب التاجر أو البائع في الاستكمال بالخطوة الثالثة، ستطلبPaymob&nbsp; من التاجر إيداع المبلغ في البنك كضمان في حالة عدم التحقق من صحة عملية الدفع من الانترنت وخسارة التحكيم.
في حالة فوزك والحكم لصالحك في التحكيم، سيتم استرداد المبلغ الذي تم إيداعه وهذا بالإضافة إلى مبلغ المعاملة الأصلي.
في حالة خسارتك للتحكيم وعدم الحكم لصالحك، سيتم خسارة المبلغ المودع بالإضافة إلى مبلغ المعاملة الأصلي.
&nbsp;لذلك نحن ننصح التجار دائمًا بالمواصلة والاستمرار في عملية التحكيم فقط في حالة تأكدهم من صحة المستندات والأدلة المقدمة من طرفهم لتفادي الخسارة المادية المتمثلة في مبلغ الإيداع ومبلغ المعاملة الأصلي. 
بصفتي كتاجر، كيف يمكنني الحفاظ على ضماناتي في عملية رد المبالغ المدفوعة؟

الاحتفاظ وتوثيق كل شيء متعلق بعملية البيع كإيصالات جهاز الدفع من الانترنت الالكتروني وجميع الرسائل الواردة في البريد الالكتروني وأيضًا أي محادثات تتم عن طريق الواتساب بك وشركة الشحن المتعاقد معها التاجر لتوصيل وشحن البضائع الخاصة به للعملاء.

عرض سياسة استرداد واضحة للعملاء في جميع نقاط البيع الخاصة بك، سواء كانت عملية الشراء تتم من خلال الإنترنت أو المتاجر. وجب التنويه أنه لا يجب استرجاع أو تسليم المبالغ نقدًا للعميل لأنها ضد لوائح وسياسات شركتي فيزا وماستركارد.

نحيطك علمًا أن Paymob &nbsp;ليست مسؤولة عن أي تعاملات نقدية تتم بين التاجر والعميل خارج قنوات الدفع من الانترنت المتفق عليها والتي قد يترتب عليها خصم المبلغ منك مرتين في حالة قيام العميل بتقديم طلب أنه لم يسترد المبلغ المدفوع.

إذا كنت تقوم بتقديم خدمات مقابل خصم قيمة الاشتراك بشكل تلقائي وثابت من عملائك، فالأفضل أنك تجعل العميل يتحقق من المعاملة الأولى باستخدام 3D Secure (تأكيد OTP)، لتسهل من عملية الإلغاء، كما عليك أيضًا تذكير واخطار عملائك قبل تاريخ الدفع من الانترنت والاستحقاق التالي لشفافية التعامل وتجنب أي طلب لاسترداد المبالغ.
ملاحظة: الأخذ بالاعتبار جميع السياسات والنقاط السابقة، وتطبيقها في جميع المعاملات المالية للحفاظ على حقك وضمانه في أي معاملة مالية تتم مستقبلًا.

First of all, let&rsquo;s define a Chargeback...
You might never have heard of them, but as a merchant accepting payments, you need to understand charge backs. A chargeback is when a customer who paid by card contacts their bank to ask for their money back. When this happens, you as the merchant have to provide proof that you have a right to keep the money from the purchase, otherwise the money is automatically deducted from you and returned to the customer.
Charge backs are designed to protect customers, to give them confidence to buy from you, knowing that if something goes wrong they have a way to get their money back. But you always have a chance to provide information to defend yourself and keep your money. Overall the process is designed to make sure both customers and businesses are safe and confident paying by card.

When can a customer claim a chargeback?
There are specific reasons customers are allowed to give for claiming a chargeback. The most common are that they haven&rsquo;t received the product they paid for, the product provided was broken, or didn&rsquo;t match the description provided when they ordered it. They can also file a chargeback if they requested a refund and it was refused despite being within the refund terms, if they were mistakenly charged twice for the transaction, or in cases where they deny that it was them who made the transaction, for example, if a thief or fraudster used their card.

Now let&rsquo;s take a detailed look on how the chargeback process works

Step 1 - Initial Documentation:

We will email you details of the chargeback. We might try calling or texting as well. You need to provide as much information as possible within the requested timeframe, usually 3-5 days. After analyzing the data, the result will be either the customer&rsquo;s acceptance for the explanation or otherwise to move to the next phase.

Step 2 - Pre-arbitration:

At this point, the merchant could decide to give the customer his money back with a value deduction &amp; could also contest the arbitration, providing more information to back up his case.

The Visa &amp; Master card will check the documentation and decide if the customer or merchant should get the money back. Whoever loses pays, Not just the original transaction amount, but also a fee up to $1,000. If you want to proceed to step 3, Paymob will ask you to deposit this amount in the bank as a guarantee in case you lose the arbitration.

How can I protect myself from Charge backs as a merchant?
Keep everything, never lose a document such as: receipts from POS machine, copies of emails/whatsapp conversations, your online systems for tracking order status, proof of delivery &amp; copies of descriptions for the product or service you are selling.
Provide a clear refund policy to the customer at the point of sale, whether online or in store. Never give refunds in cash because it&rsquo;s against Visa &amp; MasterCard policies. If the customer files a chargeback saying he didn't get a refund, you will lose the money twice.
Make sure your contact information on the Paymob dashboard is up to date &amp; contact <a style="color: #01338d;" href="mailto:merchants@paymob.com">merchants@paymob.com</a>&nbsp;if you need to update anything, in addition to checking your mail regularly.
If you automatically deduct subscription payments from customers, it's best to have the customer verify the first transaction with 3DSecure (OTP confirmation) to guarantee the authorization of the first transaction.
It is important to maintain sending reminders to customers in advance of the next payment due date.
Note: You should always keep record of all the previous policies &amp; reminders, keeping them attached to every transaction.
